Accommodation at the Lodge
All of our buildings are made with locally available sustainable materials by local tradesmen. There is so much tradition ingrained in the way we have organised things – we think you will be impressed. Accommodation in our simple but comfortably furnished twin cottages, or camping. Staying at our Lodge is living the Bardia experience.
Each cottage has been built traditionally in exactly the same way as homes in the area have been built for generations. They feature grass thatched roofs, wattle & daub walls, and dry mud floors with locally made rugs and bamboo furniture. Bathrooms are tiled with showers and hygienic composting toilets.
Each cottage comprises two adjacent rooms that share a veranda but are otherwise separate. Each room will take one or two adults comfortably, with a double bed and private en-suite adjoining bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC. Extra beds can be provided for young children if you would like to keep your family together in one room.
We supply a full sleeping mosquito net over each bed along with sheets, bed covers and towels. Each of our rooms are also supplied with environmentally friendly soap and shampoo.
Solar heating provides hot water to each bathroom, and solar panels generate electricity for lighting. Waste water is fully utilised by in our gardens.
If you just want to relax, then why not sit outside your room and enjoy the views, smells and sounds that make jungle lodges so very special. Our staff are happy to serve you cool beverages at your request.
